If it had been a ukulele contest…

Tan Cheng Bock

About a day after losing Singapore’s Presidential Elections, Dr Tan Cheng Bock plays the song I’ll Understand on his ukulele. He dedicated it to his voters and supporters.

Dr Tan had narrowly lost the elections by approximately 7000 votes to Dr Tony Tan, generally seen as the PAP-endorsed candidate. The other candidates in the elections were Mr Tan Jee Say and Mr Tan Kin Lian.

Dr Tan first showcased his ukulele skills before the official campaigning period had even started, singing a well-known patriotic song entitled Count On Me Singapore.
